Bukit Tima Strasse, Singapore, 1870s

This photograph shows an empty long and straight road in rural Bukit Timah, taken around the 1870s. The road is roughly tarred and is flanked by dense vegetation, including coconut trees, on each side. In the background are a few vaguely visible pedestrians.
