Gothic gate on Percival Road, 1987
This photograph shows a white Gothic gate located on Percival Road. The gate is a remnant of Singapore's first Christian cemetery that was located at Fort Canning Park. The inscription on the gate is a cross with the Christogram "IHS" beneath it, representing the first three letters of the Greek word for Jesus: iota, eta and sigma. The photograph was taken in 1987. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
