This 1993 photograph shows a side lane of Siglap Drive, towards Carlton Avenue and Siglap Road. Siglap means "the concealing darkness" in Malay. Legend tells of a Malay chief who landed in this area during a thunderstorm, which led to him calling the place Siglap. Title devised by Library staff.
