This 1985 photograph shows Sungei Bedok (Bedok river), from the bridge at New Changi Road (now Upper Changi Road). Bedok is Malay for the drum that was used in pre-loudspeaker days to call worshippers to the mosque for prayers. Title devised by Library staff.
