This 2010 photograph shows the main entrance, Shan Men (山门) to Shuang Lin Monastery. Shan Men (山门) is the first entrance of the monastery, which is beautifully crafted in the classical Southern Chinese architecture style. The monastery is the oldest Buddhist monastery in Singapore and was gazetted as a National Monument on 17th October 1980. Title devised by Library staff.
