This photograph shows a street scene with vehicles parked along pre-war houses at Telok Ayer Street. It became a bustling business centre as Chinese immigrants from China, particularly the Hokkiens, congregated in the area. Donated by Mary Lim, and displayed at the Heritage Roadshow 2008. HRS3_040.
