This 1992 photograph shows Ann Siang Hill, near the South Bridge Road junction. Shophouses line both sides of the street. On the left side of the picture can be seen the pillars and beams of a building that is no longer extant. Ann Siang Hill is named after Hokkien merchant Chia Ann Siang.
