This 1983 photograph shows Trengganu Street, towards Pagoda Street. It shows a view of a street with a four-storey shophouse building on the left, and a three-storey shophouse building at the far end. The top of a high-rise apartment block can be seen behind the shophouse building at the far end. Along Terengganu Street can be seen street vendors under canvas-covered makeshift stalls. Trengganu Road was named after Terengganu, a sultanate and state on the north-eastern side of Malaysia. The road has now been converted into a pedestrian mall. Title devised by Library staff.
