Hiap Chuan Joo was one of the largest sawmill factories in Singapore. Located at Balestier it produced wooden crates used for beverages including Coca-Cola and Tiger Beer. Taken on 25 October 1962 this photograph shows the interior of the sawmill factory after a fire. Title devised by Library staff.
