Fishtail Caryota palm tree, 1908 : general view [1]

A G.R. Lambert & Co. 1908 photograph showing a Fishtail Caryota palm tree, or scientifically known as Caryota rumphiana. It is called a Fishtail Caryota probably because of its fishtail appearance, with its irregular fan-shapped jagged bi-pinnate leaves, with tips showing many veins. Title devised by Library staff. Date of creation estimated.
