This photograph is part of the Datuk Seri Lim Chong Keat Collection. It shows a general view at the DBS Building construction site where the four foundation piers are constructed at ground level. There are cranes, a lorry truck, building materials, and construction workers. Parallel horizontal steel struts are visible further up the site. Across the road is the Singapore Conference Hall and Trade Union House. Dated 1 June 1970, the rear of the photograph also bears the chop, Wong Commercial Photographer.
