This 1983 photograph shows Boat Quay (from Ellenborough Market). Shophouses can be seen along the bank of the Singapore River. A bridge is spanned across the river. High-rise buildings can be seen at the background. The road along the quay, also called North Boat Quay, has been turned into a pedestrian mall with the restoration and redevelopment of Clarke Quay in the 1990s. Title devised by Library staff.
