This 1982 photograph shows Upper Weld Road, from Perak Road towards Jalan Besar. It shows a view of a street with two-storey shophouses along the right. Upper Weld Road is named after Sir Frederick Weld, who was Governor of the Straits Settlements from 1880 to 1887. Title devised by Library staff.
