CONFRONTATION - NO MAJOR DAMAGE CAUSED WHEN A 25 POUND BOMB EXPLODED AT THIS JUNCTION OF FORT ROAD AND MEYER ROAD IN SINGAPORE -
During the Indonesian Confrontation against the formation of Malaysia, Singapore fell victim to a number of bomb explosions. One target was Katong Park where Indonesian saboteurs landed and planted a home-made 25 lb bomb. Here we see some of the road infrastructures damaged as a result of the bomb blast. Luckily there was no damages to this private property, the site where a bomb was planted at a road junction, some 10 feet from the scene of the blast. -
