Hock Lam Street, 1960s

This photograph shows a street scene at Hock Lam Street. On both sides of the street are rows of shophouses with clothes on bamboo poles hanging out from the windows of the upper floors. Outside the shops are street hawkers selling food, fruits and other goods. A trishaw is seen parked next to a fruit stall in the foreground on the left and in the background is the Central Fire Station. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
