"A very tiring and emergency express work to build tentages for Singapore EXPO hall 1 to hall 10 in 3 days. Our workers have to get special clearance from MTI & MOM before we can start work during the peak of Covid19 pandemic. We had on-site recce of Singapore EXPO Hall 1 to Hall 6 on the 9th April 2020. We completed the tentage setup by 12nd April 2020. Then there is another calling to build tentage for EXPO Hall 7 to Hall 10 on the 22nd April 2020. We required urgent approval from MTI and MOM for our workers to be able to work onsite. It was a challenging time and we have to thanks Surbana Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd to expedite getting approval for us to commence work."--Contributed by Dennis Chew Yin Sang, as part of the "Documenting COVID-19 in Singapore" collection community call.
