This 1984 photograph shows shophouses no. 56, 58, 60 and 62) Kerbau Road (southwest side). Kerbau means "buffalo" in Malay, and the area was associated with the cattle industry in early Singapore. The roads mentioned are in the Little India area. Title devised by Library staff.
