This photograph shows bumboats along the bank of the Singapore River. Shacks and small huts lined the edge of the river while shophouses lined behind them on the right of the photograph. On the opposite bank, cars and lorries are parked at the edge of the bank. The Old Police Station is visible behind the 3-storey building and further back, a new building is under construction.
