This 1983 photograph shows Tew Chew Street, from Chin Hin Street towards the Singapore River. It shows a view of a street with a back view of a shophouse building on the right, with an adjoining row of two-storey, street-facing shophouses. Several vehicles can be seen parked by the roadside, as well as a stack of woven baskets near the buildings. Tew Chew Street was named after the Teochew people who came from Swatow in northern Guangdong province. Title devised by Library staff.
