This 1985 photograph shows a house, located at no. 233 Arab Street, off Victoria Street. Arab Street is a reference to the Arab immigrants, who were given an area near the Sultan's compound at Kampong Glam, by Raffles. The shophouses in this vicinity are currently under the Kampong Glam conservation area. Title devised by Library staff.
