Tanjong Pagar Road, from Cook Street corner : general view [1]

Reproduction Available:

This 1982 photograph depicts Tanjong Pagar Road, from Cook Street corner towards Anson Road. There are shophouses along both sides of the road. Tanjong Pagar means "cape of stakes" in Malay, and the road is probably named for the kelongs found in the sea near the area. The roads mentioned are in the Tanjong Pagar area. Title devised by Library staff.
