This 1986 photograph shows the exterior of a shophouse, at no. 12 Prinsep Street. A sign for "Pacific Drug Store" can be seen near the roof of the shophouse. Just above the sign is another sign for "Strand Hotel". Prinsep Street is named after Charles Prinsep, a lawyer who owned a big nutmeg plantation in the area in the 1850s. Prinsep Street is off Orchard Road. Title devised by Library staff.
