This 1968 photograph shows a bungalow, on Tanjong Katong Road. The front steps of the house lead to the verandah, and a row of fretwork fascia can be seen under the eave of the roof. This house is most likely to be in the Early Bungalow (1860s) Style. Often these bungalows are one-storey high. These simple and yet elegant buildings have timber floors elevated on brick piers or timber posts to allow air circulation underneath. Title devised by Library staff.
