This 1982 photograph shows Chulia Street (southwards at Market Street corner). Rows of shophouses can be seen to the left of the photograph. In the distance can be seen several high-rise commercial buildings. Chulia Street is named after early Indian immigrants, who were known as the Chulias. Title devised by Library staff.
