This is a 1950s photograph illustrating a horse carriage in the middle of a street in Moulmeine (now known as Mawlamyine). On the right side, there are two Indian females. Indians form a substantial population share in Moulmeine in the 19th century due to expansion of trade brought by them. Part of a compiled album, with a label : "PHOTOGRAPHS BY : R.K. TYERS.
