This 1983 photograph depicts Upper Serangoon Road (towards the southwest with Tampines Road junction on the left). It shows a view of a two-way street with guard rails separating traffic from both directions. Rows of zinc-roofed shops and shophouses can be seen on both sides of the road. This picture was taken from an overhead bridge between Simon Road and Florence Close. Title devised by library staff.
