This is a 1990 photograph showing a colonial house in Haig Road. Haig Road was named after Douglas 1st Earl Bemersyde, the Commander-in-Chief of the British Expeditionary Force in France, who won the war and devoted himself to the Earl Haig Fund for wounded and retired servicemen. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
