This is a photograph from E. A. Brown's collection. It shows several Malay kolehs or traditional perahus at the New Year Sea Sports. The annual regatta is held at the Singapore Harbour, off Collyer Quay. Several buildings can be seen in the background, like the new Municipal Building and the spire of St Andrew’s Cathedral. The Hotel de L’Europe has been demolished, therefore the photograph probably dates between 1935 and 1937. No creation date provided. Title devised by Library staff.
