This photograph shows a row of attap huts in Kampong Padang Terbakar, a Malay village in Changi. The structures are set against the backdrop of tall coconut trees, which is a typical view of rural villages in Singapore. A signboard bearing "16 Kampong Padang Terbakar" is planted into the sand in front of three attap shops. They include a barber shop and probably a provision shop. Two of them have zinc roofs while one of them attap roof. A display board bearing "Pandang Tebarker Rural District Committee" stands in front of the middle shop. Title devised by Library staff.
