Archway with the British flag at the centre : general view



This is a photograph from E. A. Brown’s collection. It was taken at the parade held on 31 March 1922 at ‘Children’s Corner’. The picture shows the entrance archway through which H.R.H. the Prince walked when he arrived at the parade. Boy scouts are seen standing on the semi-circular archway, with one of them holding up a British flag. The event was part of the programme for H.R.H. the Prince of Wales’ two-day visit to Singapore on 31 March and 1 April 1922. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
