Fisher Street, from near Cumming Street : general view

Reproduction Available:

This 1984 photograph shows Fisher Street (from near Cumming Street towards Boat Quay), with a view of shophouses and warehouses on the left of the photograph. Investigations reveal that there were two streets named Fisher Street, in different locations. This Fisher Street is possibly named after Mr. Fisher, a former head of the Telegraph Company (in Singapore). The area is now a pedestrian mall located within Merchant Square. Title devised by Library staff.
