Chinese God of Prosperity : general view



This 2010 photograph shows a statue of the Chinese God of Prosperity (Caishen/财神). The fortune of the coming year for the twelve Chinese zodiacs are printed on pedestals under the statue. People can be seen reading their fortunes. The statue is part of the Chinese Lunar New Year decorations seen at Bencoolen Street. Title devised by Library staff.
