Tiong Ghee Temple : general view

This 2010 photograph shows theTiong Ghee Temple (忠义庙), located at 1085 Stirling Road, Queenstown. The temple is built in the traditional Chinese architectural style and features a gabled roof, topped with a ridge of tiles and ceramic figurines. The Tiong Ghee Temple started as a village shrine in an attap hut, dedicated to the Taoist deity Guan Gong (关公). The original temple was demolished in 1968, with a new temple erected on the current site in 1973. Title devised by Library staff.
