This photograph taken probably in 1983 shows a shophouse from the late style featuring full-length French windows, Corinthian-style pilasters and a dentilled cornice running atop the second-storey windows. The secondary pilasters separating the French windows sport a rather peculiar combination of Corinthian capitals and pediments. The forecourt of the shophouse is fronted by a Chinese-gateway with an upturned swallow-tail roof ridge. Title devised by Library staff.
