Offerings for the afterlife at Hokkien Street, 1982

This 1982 photograph shows rites and rituals on Hokkien Street. Food offerings including fish, poultry, pork and fruits, as well as Chinese traditional foods like ang ku kweh are placed on the ground, as part of the prayers for the afterlife. An incense burner, incense sticks and joss paper can also be seen in the picture. Title devised by Library staff.
