This 1992 photograph shows Geylang Lorong 38 (towards Sungei Geylang canal). A grassy area can be seen on the left of the photograph. Low-rise buildings are visible in the background. Geylang is believed to be a corruption of the Malay word "kilang", which means factory. Title devised by Library staff.
