This 1992 photograph depicts Lorong 29 Geylang, towards Geylang Road junction. It shows a view of a street with shophouses on both sides, and roadside parking lots. Geylang is believed to be a corruption of the term "kilang", Malay for factory, from the coconut and lemongrass processing factories of the area. Title devised by Library staff.
