This 1983 photograph shows the exterior of shophouses at Boat Quay (from Ellenborough Market). The shophouses feature wooden French windows at the second floor and a balcony at the third floor. The road along the quay, also called North Boat Quay, has been turned into a pedestrian mall with the restoration and redevelopment of Clarke Quay in the 1990s. Title devised by Library staff.
