This 1982 photograph shows Lorong 33 Geylang, at Sims Avenue. It shows a one-way street with shophouses on both sides, and roadside parking. Geylang is possibly named after the kilangs (presses or mills in Malay), which used to operate in the area. Title devised by Library staff.
