This photograph shows a group portrait of three male prison department staff taken at the Prison Headquarters at Jalan Penjara off Margaret Drive. They are seated on chairs at the lowest step of a flight of stairs leading to the entrance of the building. All are in their full uniform except for the staff in the centre who does not have his cap on. The sign that carries the Malay translation of the department name, "Ibu Pejabat Penjara" is displayed above the entrance door together with the words "Prison Headquarters". The entrance of the headquarters is decorated with potted plants. The Prison Headquarters is also known as the Remand Prison and stood at Margaret Drive, Queenstown from 1966 to 2010 when it was demolished. Date of creation estimated.
