This 1982 photograph shows Sims Avenue, from opposite Geylang Lorong 9 (eastwards, south side). Sims Avenue is named after prominent Chinese businessman Sim Kia Jan, managing director of Chin Huat Tin Ore Trading Company, and a member of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
