This 1967 photograph shows a row of shophouses on Stanley Street, buildings that typically house businesses in the first storey and residences in the upper floors. Stanley Street was also referred to as ma cho kiong hi tai au, meaning behind the ma cho temple's theatrical stage. Title devised by Library staff.
