This photograph shows a gamelan (a musical ensemble) performance. The Malay musicians are decked out in similar attire. In the middle, the man is playing the kenong. Behind him, another man is playing the gendang/kendhang. In the background, more musicians are playing either the saron, gambang or gender (xylophones). At the top right corner, the instrument is a celempung. At the top left corner, there is a gong ageng. Title devised by Library staff.
