This 1983 photograph shows the exterior of a godown at Boat Quay (from Ellenborough Market). The building has wooden French windows at the second floor and arched windows at the third floor. A signage seen on the building states that the building belonged to Joo Seng Company Ltd. The road along the quay, also called North Boat Quay, has been turned into a pedestrian mall with the restoration and redevelopment of Clarke Quay in the 1990s. Title devised by Library staff.
