This is a photograph of the cleaning up of the Singapore River and Kallang River which took ten years to complete. It started in 1977 and was completed in 1987. Today the rivers are used for recreational purposes. Photograph donated by Tang Kian Cheong and displayed at the Heritage Roadshow 2008. HRS3_296. Title devised by Library staff.
