Workers assembling "Tiger Beer" crates at Hiap Chuan Joo sawmill



Hiap Chuan Joo was one of the largest sawmill factories in Singapore. Located at Balestier it produced wooden crates used for beverages including Coca-Cola and Tiger Beer. Taken in the 1950s this photograph shows workers assembling crates at the sawmill factory. Three of the workers are female. Title devised by Library staff.
