This 1982 photograph shows Cairnhill Road, from Orchard Road. Two-storey shophouses, and commercial buildings can be seen in the photograph. Straddling the road is a traffic gantry marking the entry into the restricted zone. Cairnhill Road is named after a house called "Cairn hill". Title devised by Library staff.
