Goppenstein railway station and entrance to the Lötschberg Tunnel, postcard : front

The image shows a general view of Goppenstein railway station, which is the south portal of the Lötschberg Tunnel. Goppenstein is located at the bottom of the Lötschen valley. The picture depicts the railway tracks of the station and the entrance to the tunnel surrounded by mountains on both sides of the railway station. A river, possibly the Lonza river, runs along the track. The postcard bears the caption "477 Lötschbergbahn. Bahnhof Goppenstein und Eingang in den grossen Tunnel" at the top right corner.
