Jamek Mosque, Kuala Lumpur [1]

This photograph shows the external view of the Jamek Mosque, the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur. It captures the brick facade of the low walls of the mosque, as well as the Mogul-inspired features of the building such as the alternate-coloured pillars of the minarets and the building's domes. A stone compound is seen next to the building with steps leading to a huge tree. A man is seen sleeping underneath the tree. Four coconut trees tower above the building. Title devised by Library staff. Date of creation estimated.
