This is a 1982 photograph showing Mountbatten Road (towards the east, north side, with Broadrick Road on the left). It shows a view of a road lined with trees and street lights on both sides, and guard fences on the left. Two-storey houses can also be seen on the left. Mountbatten Road is named after Lord Louis Mountbatten (1900-1979), Supreme Allied Commander in Southeast Asia from 1943 to 1945. Title devised by Library staff.
